Temperatures will remain well above average headed into the end of the work week although humidity will be more tolerable. A weak front will pass to the north and east of the state Sunday and Monday will isolated showers and thunderstorms possible.
Next week, intense heat is expected to develop once again over the Mid South with highs eclipsing 100° in many locations along with Heat Indices up to 115° expected.
