Victory Over Violence Prayer Service Set for Next Thursday

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (News Release) -- Victory Over Violence and One Voice are coming together to host a very special city-wide Prayer Rally to gather the churches of Central Arkansas for a special night of prayer that will be broadcast across social media.

The event will be held on Thursday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church. You can RSVP for the event here.

We will worship together, pray together, and hear from key leaders about opportunities for the church to meet the needs of our city.

The is the second annual Victory Over Violence prayer event. In 2017, a rally was held at War Memorial Stadium featuring more than a dozen pastors and a special message from Governor Asa Hutchinson.

"Together our local churches can make a significant impact on the violence and division facing our city,” said Logan Bloom of Arkansas for Christ. “We stand for healing, hope and love. This is an important time for every church of the city to come together. Every voice matters and we want every voice to be joined in prayer at One Voice."

About One Voice

One Voice is part of a movement to unite every church in Central Arkansas in extraordinary prayer. Only together can we overcome the division and pain in our communities with the love and hope of Jesus. One Voice is a semi-annual night of prayer organized as a united expression of the churches in our city. These events occur each year on the evenings of the National Day of Prayer (the first Thursday in May) and the Thursday before Thanksgiving.

About Victory Over Violence

The goal of the VOV campaign is to unite community groups and leaders and be a resource for reducing violent crime and changing lives through improvements in education, jobs, mentoring and hunger.
