LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Junior golf programs are getting lots of youngsters onto the green across Arkansas.

Because of their efforts at growing the game, the future of golf in the Natural State is in good hands.

Drive, Chip and Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition. It is a joint initiative of the Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association and The PGA of America.

The goal of Drive, Chip and Putt is a focus on the three fundamental skills employed in golf for girls and boys ages 7-15. It offers them the chance to play with their peers in qualifying events across the country.

As participants advance in local, sub-regional and regional qualifying for each age/gender category, they earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament.

Registration for Drive, Chip and Putt is open. Local qualifying will be available in all 50 states.
