The Minnesota Vikings have signed former Arkansas defensive tackle Armon Watts who they selected in Round 6 this past Saturday.
The Vikings made the announcement on Twitter Friday.
According to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, Watts got a four-year, $2.689 million contract with a signing bonus of $169,096. Tomasson reports Watts will count $537,274 against the cap in 2019.
Watts had a breakout season in 2018 in John Chavis’ defense. He finished with 49 tackles, including 25 solo, 8.5 for loss, seven sacks, two pass breakups, three quarterback hurries and three forced fumbles.
Watts was one of three Razorbacks drafted by NFL teams. They also had five players agree to undrafted free agent deals as well.
