Arkansas has had pretty good luck this spring avoiding severe injuries, but have suffered some nagging ones at positions where they are thin.

Running back is one of of the positions where the numbers are down. Sophomore Jordon Curtis went from a yellow jersey on Monday to a green one Wednesday. Senior Devwah Whaley, who was in a yellow jersey on Monday, wasn’t spotted during the open portion Wednesday. Junior Rakeem Boyd was already out for the spring.

That has left a lot of the work at running back to junior Chase Hayden and senior Hayden Johnson, who was moved over from tight end on Monday. He was originally recruited to Arkansas as a fullback.

On defense, the Razorbacks are thin at linebacker. Redshirt freshman Andrew Parker had a green jersey on Wednesday. Senior De’Jon Harris had surgery and is out for the remainder of spring there.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Connor Noland is with the baseball team on Wednesday and not at football. The Hogs had a baseball game. Tight end Grayson Gunter wasn’t spotted at Wednesday’s practice. He was one of the injured players Chad Morris talked about on Monday.

Athens (Texas) 2020 offensive lineman Garrett Hayes was at Wednesday’s practice. Arkansas has offered and he is one of the key targets for Dustin Fry.
