Arkansas will host three more official visitors this weekend including two from Texas and one from Oklahoma.
All three were at Arkansas for the Elite Prospect Day on March 9. The three are Carthage (Texas) offensive lineman Ty’kieast Crawford, Crockett (Texas) tight end Allen Horace and Oklahoma City (Okla.) Bishop McGuinness running back Dominic Richardson.
Crawford, 6-6, 310, was at Arkansas on Jan. 26, March 9 and now this weekend as well at the LSU game this past November. So this will be his fourth trip to Fayetteville in approximately six months. Crawford was committed to Baylor before decommiting on Feb. 26.
He is a four-star recruit with the recruiting services. He was at Alabama last weekend for an unofficial visit. He talked about what he liked about his visit to Arkansas on March 9 when the Hogs had close to a 100 recruits on campus.
“Same thing that I liked the other time – it’s like family,” Crawford said. “They treated me like family once again. That’s the main thing I like about it.”
Crawford has offers from schools all over the nation and will be able to pick his college. Arkansas is his leader.
Horace, 6-4, 238, is a talented tight end. As a junior, he caught 27 passes for 468 yards and nine touchdowns. He was also outstanding on the hardcourt. He’s a three-star recruit with the services. He too liked what he saw on March 9. Arkansas, Texas Tech and Baylor are the schools recruiting him the hardest right now.
Richardson, 6-1, 200, rushed for 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior. That followed a sophomore season when he had 2,135 and 26 touchdowns. Richardson is a three-star and was impressed with what he saw on March 9.
“It is a great atmosphere out here and I love it,” Richardson said. “It was everything that I expected.”’
What were the highlights?
“I would say just talking to the coaches, going to players’ meeting and just learning the explanations of what they do, just talking to the head coach,” Richardson said. “How dedicated they are to you if you are committed to them. It’s all there for you, all the information.”
Where is Arkansas on your list now?
“They are definitely in my top five right now,” Richardson said. “So they are pretty high on my list right now.
“I would TCU, Iowa State, definitely Arkansas, OU and Texas is up there as well.”
The Razorbacks hosted five official visitors last weekend. They have four public commitments in the Class of 2020.
