Junior running back Devwah Whaley was wearing a yellow jersey at Arkansas’ practice on Tuesday.
Whaley was hit on a swing pass Saturday night in the Auburn game. He left and didn’t return after that. Chad Morris was asked about his status on Monday.
“We’ll reevaluate Devwah and see how it goes,” Morris said. “Right now, he’s day-to-day.”
Does Whaley have a concussion?
“I’ll talk about that a little later in the week,” Morris said. “I don’t know at this stage, but it’s day-to-day with him right now.”
He leads Arkansas in rushing with 53 attempts for 231 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore Rakeem Boyd got a lot of the reps following the injury to Whaley. Sophomore Chase Hayden also saw some additional time.
Among the players wearing green protective jerseys on Tuesday were wide receiver’s De’Vion Warren and La’Michael Pettway, offensive tackle Noah Gatlin and linebacker Deon Edwards.
Junior quarterback Ty Storey hit a wide receiver in stride with a pass that went 60 yards in the air. The tight ends were catching the ball well on Tuesday from all the quarterbacks.
