We knew Arkansas vs TCU was going to be a pitcher’s duel. Isaiah Campbell going up against the Horned Frogs leftie Nick Lodolo, and we were scoreless at Baum-Walker Stadium through 5 innings.

Campbell going a solid 8 innings, giving up 4 hits, 1 run and striking out 8.

Lodolo going 5 innings and giving up 4 hits, one run and striking out 6.

Unlike game one, it took the Hogs offense some time to get on the board. Arkansas had bases loaded in the top of the 4th with two outs, but were unable to get a run across. Again in the 5th, Trevor Ezell and Matt Goodheart reached base, but the Hogs couldn’t get them across.

However in the top of the 6th, Arkansas was able to break through. On a bases loaded single up the middle, Casey Opitz scored Heston Kjerstad and Jack Kenley to give the Razorbacks a 2-0 lead. Then Trevor Ezell found the sweet spot down the right field line, scoring another run to give Arkansas a 3-0 lead.

In the bottom of the 8th, TCU tacked a run on the board with a SAC fly to center field by Zach Humphreys to make it a 3-1 ball game.

Arkansas advances to the Regional finals game with a 3-1 win, and one win away from moving on to the Super Regionals. The Razorbacks will face the winner of TCU-Central Connecticut St. Sunday at 8pm.
