“Hey. Welcome back to the Pig Trail. Let’s talk about recruiting. Go ahead and bring back Richard Davenport, the recruiting guy, joining us from our KARK studios in Little Rock. You can read his stuff in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette or just log onto WholeHogSports. Ok, because of the Olympics, Richard, it’s been a minute since you and I have had a minute to catch up. Let’s catch our viewers up. 3 big time commitments for our Arkansas basketball. Headlined by one man named Reggie Perry.

Richard Davenport
Reggie is about 6’9″-6’10” and legitimate 220-225. I saw him last year, definitely looked impressive but he was recovering from an injury. He’d broken his fibula, and this year he is 100% and you could tell it, but we I saw them in Vegas he was so impressive. Scored inside, outside, blocking shots, rebounding, he can do it all. He’s a guy that can also take his defender off the dribble at any time. I mean, here’s a guy, a big man, and being able to do that, he’s an above average ball handler obviously when you’re able to do that. That is so impressive. He’s definitely the top 25 prospects in the country in 2018.

Aaron Peters
Yeah and then Desi Sills, Isaiah Joe, catch us up on those guys since we last spoke.

Richard Davenport
Yeah, Isaiah Joe is a classic 2, can play the 1 in a pinch. He really how’d out in Vegas. Coach Anderson, the whole staff, was watching the Arkansas Hawks the whole time, and they were at every game, so they were able to see a little bit more of Isaiah, and he can really stroke it from outside, can also take it inside, take his men off the dribble too, and go strong with a basket. Really like his game. I knew just a matter of time before he got some offers, and obviously Arkansas did that. Desi Sills, I’m a huge fan of him. I’ve been watching him for the last 3 or 4 years, and he reminds me of some of the Arkansas Razorbacks in the past who game 110% at all times. I think he could potentially be a fan favorite, because you’re going to see a guy that give maximum effort at all times. Definitely a great defender that can also play the 1 or the 2 very flexible.

Aaron Peters
Those 3 guys committed to the Razorbacks, but also some teammates on that Arkansas Hawks team 16 and under, Justin Hill and Ethan Henderson, catch us up on those 2 young men.

Richard Davenport
Well, obviously Justice Hill is the first of the 5 to commit to Arkansas in January and he’s a member of the 2019 class. Classic point guard, he can score, but he really likes setting up his teammates. I think he’s definitely going to be one of the better prospects in his class, by the time he’s a senior. Then Ethan Henderson, that’s what all the Arkansas fans and Arkansas coaches are waiting on. He’s a 2018 forward from Little Rock, Parkview, very versatile, very skillful. He’s got several offers. Obviously Arkansas is one of them. If he commits to Arkansas, the best that I can tell, the Arkansas Hawks 16 and under will make history. We will be the first Spring and summer basketball team to be able toy have all 5 starters go to 1 team. That’s never been done, the best I can tell.

Aaron Peters
That’s huge for Arkansas and the head coach Mike Anderson. Ok, let’s talk football. They now call it O line, Brett does. Will Blaine Scott and Colten Blanton , those are a couple of big offensive linemen that Arkansas is interested in.

Richard Davenport
Yeah, Blaine Scott’s highly recruited 2018 offensive linemen out of Ohio. He’s got Arkansas ties, his family in Fayetteville. His cousin James in very, very fond of the Razorbacks, a big Razorback fan, and he’s definitely trying to get Blaine to Fayetteville. Colten, he’s a guy who really likes how Arkansas puts some emphasis on the offensive line, likes how they put him last year on the media guide, so keep a watch out for these two guys. I think Arkansas definitely in the running for both.

Aaron Peters
Yeah, Blanton 6 ft out of Texas, he knows a guy likes to get Texas out of the Lonestar state when it comes to recruiting. Again, log onto the WholeHogSports or just check the Democrat Gazette for my man Richard Davenport. Great job, as always. Alyssa Orange, coming up next. She has a special interview with in studio guest from the Arkansas Alumni Association, so stick around for that.
