Coming into Monday’s elimination game against Texas Tech, Arkansas head coach, Dave Van Horn, said he really just wanted 3 good innings out of Connor Noland. The freshman gave him 4.
Noland worked 4 innings and allowed just 4 hits and 1 walk. However, one of those hits was a 2-run homer.
It was still a huge improvement over his last outing though. Noland only lasted 1 inning against Ole Miss in game 2 of the Fayetteville Super Regional. The Rebels put up 4 runs in that one inning and went on to win the game 13-5.
So even though the season has come to an end, it was good to see Noland get back on track.
