FORDYCE, Ark. – An interim sheriff has been appointed in Dallas County after the sheriff resigned.

The Dallas County Quorum Court approved Chief Deputy John McMullen to be the Dallas County Interim Sheriff for the remainder of the year.

The vote by the court was unanimous.
