Woman Speaks About Night Her Husband Discovered Bodies in 20-Year-Old Cold Case

GARLAND COUNTY, Ark.- The Garland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to solve a 20-year-old cold case.

In August of 1997, Frank Steven Delaney, 20, and Teela L. Hudson, 17, were murdered in the area of Bald Mountain Road and Hayti Lane. Their bodies were discovered in a car and no one was ever arrested.

A woman who didn’t want to be identified, we’ll call her “Dorothy,” has lived in the same house for more than 30 years. She says she remembers the night of August 31, 1997 very clearly.

She had been asleep in the house when her husband was arriving home late from a fishing trip. She says he couldn’t get in the driveway because a car was blocking it.

The couple lived in a remote part of Garland county and at the time it was just a dirt road that led to their driveway.

“He said the front doors were open and he could hear the music blaring,” says Dorothy.
