CLINTON, Ark. - I've got to share a great experience at the Chuckwagon race in Clinton.
I was given the chance to race on the Hidden Valley Chuckwagon with two friends Chris Teal, and Mark Bailey.
A picture shows us walking with the red wagon with HV on it--I was the cook--and a little more than nervous.
How this happens, we pull up to the line with the other wagons.
My job is to load the wagon and when the gun goes off--and off we go!
Then Mark gets on his horse and has to come pass us and he gets on it!
We make our way up the hill as fast as Chris can drive his mules and I hang on. Then down the back side.
What a ride--I have to thank Mark and Jennifer Bailey, Mike and Kathy Caswell--our camp cooks, Perry and Nicki Murdock--Chris Teal and his wife Melissa-- Dan and Peggy Eoff.
