LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Cassandra Wade’s fashion line became an overnight internet sensation after appearing on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“I couldn’t believe it, I was shocked,” says Wade.

Within 48 hours she had garnered more than 10,000 followers and sold out of all of the jumpers.

“It all happened so quickly,” explains Wade. “For me, fashion is about feeling beautiful and helping others feel beautiful – it’s what I love to do.”

At 52-years-old, Wade has her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and holds a master’s degree in social work from the Unversity of New England.

Her fashion business, Cassie’s Corner, has become popular with many women both locally and nationally.

Wade says she went into social work because she always wanted to help people but just never knew how.

“I use my fashion as a tool,” says Wade. “I help women become beautiful – it’s really rewarding.”

Nine years ago, Wade struggled with drugs and alcohol abuse. She didn’t know where to turn.

“God saved me and put the right people in my path to take me away from all that,” says Wade.

Now she works closely with Project Hope to help women who sometimes struggle with confidence and hope.

“I go there and tell my story,” says Wade. “The women that have reached out tell me how inspired they feel and I know I am doing the right thing.”
