BATESVILLE, Ark. - Razorback super fan Canaan Sandy is recovering after having a stroke.
"He is doing remarkably well considering," says Ginger Sandy, mother of Cannan. "He should be paralyzed on one side but he isn't he's bouncing off the walls."
Sandy says the CT scan showed no blood in his brain, but he will be staying overnight for monitoring.
The family is being cared for at The White River Medical Center, where they will soon meet with a neurologist to find out what the next steps are for Cannan.
"We know he wouldn't be in the shape he's in if it wasn't for everybody's prayers," Sandy says. "We thank the lord first and we thank you guys second."
Everyone across the state of Arkansas and beyond has been sending messages of prayers and well wishes for the Razorbacks biggest fan.
"We love you guys, thank you," says Sandy and Cannon.
