LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Chick-fil-A is giving out a little more than just chicken to their employees – some are getting scholarships.
Mitch Jaeger, director of operations at the Chick-fil-A off Chenal & Markham was one of the 10 employees to receive an education scholarship from that location.
“It’s a privilege to work here,” says Jaeger. “It’s a true privilege to be honored by this scholarship so that I can go through with my education.”
Jaeger received an educational scholarship worth $2,500 that he plans to use to finish his MBA.
“To be part of a company that cares so much about their employees is a blessing,” Jaeger says. “My emotion is always grateful.”
The scholarships are unique in that the funds can be applied to any area of study at any accredited institution, including any two- or four-year college and university, online program or technical/vocational school.
This year, Chick-fil-A awarded scholarships to 72 restaurant employees in Arkansas.
Sixteen of these recipients were from Chick-fil-A restaurants in Little Rock.
