PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Community members from across Pine Bluff and surrounding areas joined KARK 4 Saturday morning to declare victory over violence.
The passionate showing from the community reflected the greater desire to eliminate the widespread culture of violence that has seized central Arkansas.
With signs in hand, dozens walked together in solidarity for change. Wilma Perry of the city shared her concerns, “We took trails if there’s a trail through the woods, we just walk through that trail, but now you’re afraid to walk out your front door.”
The walk was just a small part of our Victory Over Violence campaign. For more on this effort to stamp out violence in our community, check out the full Victory Over Violence page.
