Update: Little Rock Man, 28, ID’d as Homicide Victim

Update:
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A local man has been identified by police as the victim in a Tuesday evening homicide.

The Little Rock Police Department says Christopher Nixon, 28, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in an incident that happened around 5 p.m. outside an apartment complex on Dreher Lane. The victim was found outside of a vehicle and was pronounced dead after being taken to UAMS.

The LRPD says as the investigation got underway, it was determined that there were two other people inside the vehicle with the victim at the time of the shooting who were not injured.

The suspects who drove away from the scene have been described by police as three black males who were in a dark-colored vehicle. 

Police say there was a man who drove through the area of the crime scene in a vehicle that was very similar to a vehicle seen on video at the time of the shooting. He was detained and interviewed by homicide detectives and later released without any charges.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A man has died in a shooting on the city’s southwest side.

Police say the homicide happened near the black vehicle pictured in this story. 

The victim is described as being in his late 20s. 

Authorities confirmed there are bullet holes in a car where the Crime Scene Unit gathered evidence. 

Police say there are no public safety concerns.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Police are at the scene of a shooting that left one person dead. 

The Little Rock Police Department says it happened around 5 p.m. at the Windamere Apartments on Dreher Lane. 

The LRPD says the male victim was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. 

Police are searching for two to three male suspects. Authorities believe the shooting took place inside the suspect vehicle.
