ALEXANDER, Ark. — Two people have been arrested for allegedly injuring animals and posting video of the crimes to social media.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office reports 18-year-old Marlin Sims and 31-year-old Katherine Farmer will face charges of cruelty to animals.

Sheriff’s deputies along with Bryant police responded to a home in the 3600 block of Centark Circle after receiving a report of the video Sunday.

After speaking with the two, investigators determined they should be charged with the unclassified misdemeanor.

SCSO deputies seized two cats and a dog from the home and have taken them to a local animal care facility.
