Tree falls on power line & blocks access to woman’s Pulaski Co. home

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark.– A large tree fell on a power line blocking Kellogg Acres Road  in Pulaski County near Sherwood.

Our crew in the field found a woman trying to get her house but could not because of the damage Thursday afternoon.

We found crews blocking the stretch of Kellogg Acres Road near Simler Road near 3 Thursday afternoon.

We saw a large tree that appears uprooted that fell onto a power line.

As some people appear to have already started the clean up we met Paulina Weeks who was trying to make it to her home.

She said, “The thought of  it being gone… I still can’t get there. My husband’s on the other side and he can’t get there and just not knowing… not knowing if it’s ok.”

“I was in West Little Rock at work and all my neighbors were calling to make sure that I was ok  because they couldn’t see my house anymore because of the trees,” Weeks said.

Her best friend stood next to her during the interview after rushing to try to help.

Weeks said she does not believe the tree hit her home, but she won’t be 100% sure until she can get to it.
