Thieves steal road signs after flooding

News

HUTTIG, Ark. – The Dollar Junction Road near Huttig has been closed for several weeks but drivers just aren’t following the rules.

County Judge Mike Loftin has had barriers placed on the road many times but they keep getting stolen.

A concrete barricade went up yesterday letting drivers know Dollar Junction Road was closed.

About a mile down a bridge leading to Felsenthal is completely flooded.

One resident says she’s still seeing traffic and people just aren’t taking the message seriously.

“Two motorcycles came down in here and one did not stop in time so he slid on into the water.”

As always, if you come across water in the roadway don’t attempt to drive through, you never know just how deep the water is and the current may be stronger than you think.
