CONWAY, Ark. – Investigators have arrested two teens in connection to the kidnapping-murder of Faulkner Co. woman Elvia Fragstein.
Robert Lee Smith Jr. (16) and Tacori D. Mackrell (18) are both being charged as adults with kidnapping and theft of property, according to the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives say Fragstein went missing after leaving a shopping center in Conway on July 7. Her body was discovered along a road in Jefferson County July 11.
Smith and Mackrell are being held at the Jefferson County Jail until they can be transported to the Faulkner County Detention Center to wait for a court date.
Multiple agencies have worked with the Faulkner County Sheriff”s Office on the case including: the 20th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Conway Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Fragstein’s vehicle, a silver Honda CRV with Arkansas license plate no. 453 TGO was last seen on or about July 7; however, it is still missing.
The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office has yet to release further details about the ongoing investigation.
