CAVE SPRINGS, Ark. – At least one home has been damaged by trees that fell during an overnight storm.

Our meteorologist Hayden Nix says the damage seen in the attached photos is from a thunderstorm that was not severe.

The storm rolled through Benton County in Northwest Arkansas around 1 a.m. Thursday.

He says the winds were 30 to 50 mph.

“Five trees back here and two over to the side over there all blown down. I don’t think it was a tornado, straight line wind because it was blowing. I heard it blow for quite a while, just woooo wooo wooo. I can fix the house I hate to have my body wrecked, ya know?,” said James Smartt, owner of the damaged home located along Thunderhead Lane.

He says his kitchen and living room were damaged. A cleanup crew was called in to remove the trees.

No injuries were reported.
