Update: Homicide Victim Found in Johnson Co. Yard Identified


KNOXVILLE, Ark. - The homicide victim found in Knoxville on Monday has been identified as Noah Hampton, 20, of Newton County, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.

The investigation is ongoing.

KNOXVILLE, Ark. - Officials say foul play is suspected after the discovery of a body on Monday morning.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) says the body was found at the intersection of Ash Street and Highway 64 in Knoxville near a brush pile in someone's back yard.

Investigators with JCSO and ASP were continuing to canvas the neighborhood on Monday for more information. 

Johnson County Sheriff, Larry Jones, is asking anyone who may have seen someone or something suspicious, or heard gunshots Sunday night or Monday morning to contact them.

The JCSO says the deceased was male but is not commenting on the cause of death or identity at this time.
