LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A local woman is recovering from gunshot wounds she suffered in a Tuesday night incident outside an apartment on the city’s west side.
A Little Rock Police Department report released Wednesday morning said the 21-year-old victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police say the woman was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
It happened shortly after 9 p.m. at the Towne Oaks Apartments in the 9300 block of Treasure Hill Rd., just off Rodney Parham Road.
The police report names a suspect but does not provide details on their arrest. The LRPD says officers searched two apartments looking for the suspect. They reportedly entered one of them with a key provided by the tenant. Inside that apartment the police report notes officers found two loaded 9mm Glock magazines, multiple spoons with residue, a bag of white powdery substance and a Halloween mask all in plain view in the kitchen area.
When officers checked on the victim at the hospital, the report notes a bullet doctors removed was given to police for evidence.
