SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA) – Cross Church Pastor Ronnie Floyd accepts the position as the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Executive Committee (EC) president on Tuesday, April 2.
The full executive committee — a panel of seven — held a special meeting in Dallas at 11 a.m. The committee made the announcement about their decision to have Floyd serve as seventh chief executive later in the afternoon.
“Ronnie Floyd is a trusted voice of experienced leadership,” said Executive Committee chairman Mike Stone in a Baptist Press publication on March 31st, prior to the decision.

Floyd has 33 years of experience at Cross Church, according to the church.

Floyd, 63, and his wife Jeana have been married for 42 years, have two sons, and seven grandchildren.
