Religious leaders discuss community-based research project

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Religious leaders across central Arkansas came together Thursday afternoon to talk about a community-based research project.

Students and professors at UA-Little Rock have started the Little Rock Congregations Study.

It looks at the impact faith-based community engagement has.

The religious leaders were together to talk about the problems in the city and brainstorm solutions.

“It helps the city,” says Dr. Rebecca Glazier, Associate Professor at UA-Little Rock. “It helps people who really have a need that churches provide, and it also helps congregations get stronger. When they are engaged in the community and serving, it helps more people attend.”

Members of all faiths and denominations were involved in the study.
