LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansans are still waiting to see whether a push to raise Arkansas’ minimum wage will make it onto the November ballot.
The group trying to make that happen received some good news today.
They’re getting extra time to collect signatures.
The Secretary of State’s Office says they’ve gotten about 52,000 valid signatures.
They need about 15,000 more and have an additional thirty days to get them.
If passed, this proposal would raise the state minimum wage from $8.50 an hour to $11 by the year 2021.
