Police: Woman, 18, Sent Nude Photos and Hinted at Rape to 12-Year-Old Boy

In Little Rock’s historic McArthur Park, the birds are chirping, and phones are making a little noise, too.

Eric Mason spent Friday in the park chasing Pokemon characters in the popular Pokemon Go game.

“Get items in the game and continue to level up,” Mason says.

While the park offers a chance to catch make-believe creatures, right across the street is where police say a very real crime began that resulted in officers catching a suspect.

Authorities arrested 18-year-old Zoe McMinn on Thursday for sexting a 12-year-old boy she met at the Quapaw Tower condominium pool last month.

According to court documents, after allowing the boy to touch her chest at the pool, they exchanged numbers and nude photos.

An affidavit states the boy told detectives McMinn texted him: “I might have sex with you, I might rape you.”

McMinn reportedly also told the boy she was “a pervert”. After the boy asked how, she replied: “Rape kids,” according to court documents.

“Oh my God,” Mason says reacting to learning details about the reported crime.

The case includes shocking allegations that appear to have emerged from the same neighborhood where kids are easier to find than a few make-believe creatures.

“Yeah,” Mason says.

“A whole bunch of kids over there fishing today.”

McMinn has bonded out of the Pulaski county jail. She faces charges of Sexual Solicitation of Child and Sexual Misconduct/Grooming.

She pleaded not guilty in court on Thursday, according to online court records.

Another hearing in the case is scheduled for September.
