Photojournalist describes impact of FOX16 Job Alert, Goodwill Job Fair

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Loyal KARK viewers have likely seen Paden Moore’s work on the news, but have not realized it. Paden is a photojournalist with KARK and our sister station FOX16. Each day he works with a reporter, shoots video, edits it and then a reporter presents it on the air.

“I love working with cameras and I love seeing the finished product and just seeing how well the story comes together and just seeing it on TV,” Paden said.

Paden graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in digital film making. Not knowing what he was going to do after college, he stumbled upon a flier for the FOX16 Job Alert & Goodwill Job Fair.

“I had just recently graduated from college and my dad said I had about a month to relax and then I needed to get a job pronto. I just started looking online and the job fair was one of the first things that came up,” Paden explained.

He went to that job fair in 2017. He even did a live interview with current KARK Today Anchor Susanne Brunner. The networking from that day helped him land a job as a photographer with KARK and FOX16.

“The connection I met with them there, I think definitely helped get this position,” Paden said.

If you’re like Paden once was, unemployed, newly graduated and looking for a job, he suggests you get off your couch and come to the 2019 FOX16 Job Alert and Goodwill Job Fair. It is Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Arkansas State Fairground Hall of Industry.

More than 100 employers are registered with more than 4000 jobs available. Resume reviews will be offered, along with possible on-the-spot job interviews.
