LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Nexstar Founder’s Day of Caring is in full swing and our station staff members are rolling up their sleeves as volunteers.
All day, we’re helping three local charities with a variety of projects to celebrate Nexstar Broadcasting Group’s 20th anniversary.
Some of our crew has been helping out at the Wolfe Street Foundation, the state’s largest non-profit resource dedicated to recovery from alcoholism and addiction.
Our staff volunteers are working to organize and clean several storage areas, deep clean the kitchen including two big refrigerators/oven and defrost freezer. They’re also going to lay bricks in the outside garden.
As part of the Nexstar Founder’s Day of Caring, we will be using the special Twitter hashtag #NexstarCares to share what we’re doing all day long.
Our volunteer teams helped out earlier today at the Arkansas Dream Center and have also been busy at the Arkansas Enterprises for the Developmentally Disabled, Inc. (AEDD).
