On Newsfeed Now for April 3, a viral story from Northwest Arkansas got our show started. Two men have been arrested after police say they took turns shooting one another while wearing a bulletproof vest. KNWA’s Chris Frye was with us to share details.

From there, at 5:30, we moved on to Louisiana for a look into a new support group for people who’ve lost loved ones to drugs. It was started by a woman who knows the grief all too well. WVLA’s Kourtney Williams told us about the mom’s desire to help others.

Then, at 10:05, we took you to Springfield, Missouri to meet a baseball fanatic-turned-poet. After a special project to play catch every day for a year he’s now published a book of poems written about his hometown. KOLR’s Hannah Zettl joined the conversation to tell us more.
