On Newsfeed Now for April 29 we got the show started with a bang, literally. We heard from an Arkansas man who’s recovering after his truck exploded in flames while in the drive-thru of a Burger King restaurant. KARK’s Re’Chelle Turner joined us with an update on how he’s doing three days after the blast that destroyed the vehicle and damaged the restaurant.

Monday’s other stories with scroll to times:
5:15 – Weekend shooting rampage in Tennessee. Seven are dead in Sumner County and another critically injured. A suspect is in custody after he was shot by law enforcement. WKRN’s Brent Remadna gave us the latest on the investigation into the motive for the killings.

9:05 – Mississippi family’s cat alerts them to house fire. The family made it out safe but lost the heroic feline and four other pets. WJTV’s Katey Roh was with us from Jackson to share more on the bittersweet story.

13:50 – Louisiana teen gives back to his community. He’s learned the importance of volunteering and goes every Saturday to a Monroe military museum to honor veterans. KTVE’s Annamarie McAllister joined the conversation to tell us why he loves doing it.
