On Newsfeed Now for April 15 we started with a mashed potato mystery in Mississippi. People who live in the Jackson suburb of Bellhaven are finding bowls of the stuff outside their homes. While some think it’s just a prank, others are scared the potatoes might be poisoned. WJTV’s Margaret-Ann Carter was with us to talk more about covering this unusual story.

Our second subject of the day at 5:30 into the show took us to Texas for a recap of some deadly weekend weather. One of the hardest hit areas was in East Texas where multiple tornadoes touched down, ripping through several communities. KETK’s Olivia Sandusky joined the conversation to tell us about the destruction and first steps of recovery.

At the 9:30 mark we turned to the Arkansas-Louisiana border to look into a suspected prom scam. After some dresses ordered through a Dallas fashion designer were not received, upset parents who spent hundreds of dollars want answers. KTVE’s Bria Jones shared details with us about one parent she spoke with who’s planning to file a police report.

And at 13:00 in our final story for Monday, we recapped the big win at The Masters for Tiger Woods. A lot of people were watching on television when the golf great snagged his fifth green jacket, his first in 14 years. We checked in with WJBF’s Ashley Osborne for her take on the unbelievable day.
