Little Rock, AR — New information about the timeline for the de-construction and construction of Little Rock’s Broadway Bridge.
According to a Monday meeting with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, construction of the new bridge begins November 6th.
In March of 2015, the pier protection cells in the river will be removed and on and off ramps will be removed.
In May 2016, the bridge will be completely closed but in November 2016, the bridge will be estimated to re-open.
If the construction company fails to complete construction of the bridge by the deadline, they could be finded $80,000 every day it isn’t done.
However, the company could earn an $80,000 bonus for every day it completes the bridge ahead of schedule.
