CONWAY, Ark.- A new tool has hit the streets in Conway, and if you are ever in a serious car accident, it may come to your rescue.
The new fire truck is the first of its kind in central Arkansas.
It allows the department to run and carry multiple tools at one time, designed to get out if you’re trapped in a wrecked car.
Conway Fire says it was a crucial investment, especially due to the number of accidents they respond to.
“It just allows us to have easier access to car accidents,” says Asa Harvey with the Conway Fire Department. “We have a lot of interstate in Conway, so the more extrication-type tools we have, it allows us to help them quicker.”
The engine is at Station 7, which is closest to the interstate to assist with major accidents.
