RUSSELLVILLE, AR — A company called “Chill Build” plans on making its home on Industrial Boulevard in Russellville. City Officials say when the plant is built, nearly 100 jobs will be up for grabs.

Russellville Mayor Randy Horton says the industrial freezer plant will have robots in the actual freezing rooms but dozens of employees working around the building. Those newly created jobs have the average salary of $38,000 a year before benefits. With the company buying 45-acres of land at roughly $13,000 a pop, the city is reaping some benefits too.

“It’ll be great because we all need a good paying job to take care of our families to have a roof over our heads and provide for our kids and move on through life,” said Russellville Resident Joe Barnhill.

The City Board is voting on the company Tuesday night at it’s city hall meeting.

The Mayor says the 204,000-square-foot plant should be up and ready by 2017.
