RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil – Former Razorback pole vaulter Sandi Morris won a silver medal on Friday night in Rio.
Morris grabbed second place with a successful vault of 4.85m. She barely missed 4.90m and a chance for gold.
She is the second former Razorback in the 2016 Olympics to win a medal, joining Omar McLeod who won a gold medal in the 110m hurdles.
In her time at Arkansas, the Greenville, SC native won three SEC championships, the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championship, and was a four time First Team All-American.
