LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The group behind the women’s march is planning a “March on the Polls” in response to Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.
The event will take plan in Little Rock and North Little Rock on Saturday, October 27.
Similar events are planned in Chicago, New York City, Atlanta, South Carolina, Houston, Seattle, Florida, and other spots throughout the country.
According to a news release announcing the event, the march will start at two locations. On the Little Rock side of the river, marchers will gather on the sidewalks outside the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center at 10:00 a.m. On the North Little Rock side of the river, the marchers will gather on the sidewalk next to Dickey-Stephens park at the same time. At 10:15 a.m., both groups will walk to the Pulaski County Election Commission at 501 W. Markham.
The Central Arkansas event is being organized by former congressional candidate Gwen Combs.
