Missing man on Lake Ouachita identified as Grant County Deputy Keith Wright

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ark. — A deputy with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office is missing on Lake Ouachita.

Grant County Deputy Keith Wright went missing after boating Friday night.
He and another man dove off of their party barge near a cove just North of Mountain Harbor Resort, according to authorities.

When they came up, the boat was drifting.

Both men began to swim towards the boat.

It was during this time that the second man lost contact with Deputy Wright.

He then swam to a shoreline and got help.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mt. Ida-Southfork Volunteer Fire Department, Joplin Volunteer Fire Department, Carroll County Search and Rescue, JOhnson County Search and Rescue, as well as Arkansas State Police are assisting with the search.
