BATESVILLE, Ark. — White River Health System in Batesville announced that several employees accepted the 30-day unpaid furlough due to the decrease of patients at the medical center.

On Friday the White River Health System leaders met with employees to discuss revenue shortfalls caused by positioning non-essential emergency surgeries or postponing other clinic activities.

A resident at the health center says they hope to be up and running with full staff as quickly as possible.
