Voters approve CALS millage increase

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A measure to increase the Central Arkansas Library System’s millage tax has passed.

According to the latest unofficial numbers, it appears the measure will pass with more than 70 percent of voters voting in favor of it.

The money from the millage would be used to help with operations and maintenance of the library system.

This is the first CALS operation millage increase since 2007.
