Update:

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. —  Highway 67 is back open.

Traffic flow was restored at 7:30 p.m.

Original story:

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. — Traffic is stalled after a power line began sagging into the roadway on Highway 67.

The access roads are also congested.

Avoid the area if you can.

Entergy reports to Cabot police that repairs should be complete by 8:45 p.m.

From IDriveArkansas:

“A major power transmission line has fallen onto the highway. Power has been shut off, however the line is a high-tension type and simply cutting it is not apparently an option. Crews from Entergy Arkansas are on the scene assessing what to do with it. The current ESTIMATE for clearing is approximately 90 minutes. This is likely to change, so please keep checking back for updates here and on our Twitter feed @myARDOT.
