Update (May 28):
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A local man is jailed on a battery charge after being arrested in the investigation of a Monday morning shooting.
The Little Rock Police Department says McKinsey Piggee, 40, also faces other charges in the incident that left a man wounded.
The victim has been identified by police as Cleo Jones, 61, who is reportedly homeless.
According to the LRPD incident report, Jones told officers he was riding his bicycle along 13th street when the driver of a pickup truck told him he couldn’t ride on the road. He said the suspect pushed him down, went through his baggage, shot him in the leg and drove away.
Police say Piggee was arrested after being taken to the hospital by a Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office deputy and a Little Rock officer noticed his vehicle matched the description of the truck they were looking for in the shooting.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – One man has been injured in a shooting near Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Little Rock Police say they received a call about a shooting on 13th and Children’s Way around 9:20 Monday morning.
Officials say the shooting appears to be random.
Investigators say the man was shot in the lower leg, and is expected to survive.
No arrests have yet been made.
