LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Family members of a man killed and three other people injured in a shooting at a Little Rock park Sunday say they are in pain.
Two of the three people injured in the shooting were children under the age of 5.
The family is asking for the violence to stop.
Little Rock police say they responded to a call about a shooting around 4:40 p.m. Sunday at Cheatham Park.
Police found Devontay Allen along with a 23-year-old man, a 4-year-old and a 3-year-old with gunshot wounds.
Devontay Allen later died at a local hospital.
The families came together Monday with the Injustice for Justice Coalition, asking for peace but also answers as to who did this.
“Please, please, get in contact with the detectives,” said Kimberly Allen, Devontay’s mother. “Please, just please, because he was no bad child. He all I got, I have no life without him and a little peace will help me.”
The families along with community members are calling on city leaders to come up with legislation to help.
They say they want the violence to stop.
According to the families, the 4-year-old has been released from the hospital, but the 3-year-old is still at a local hospital in a body cast.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock police are investigating a shooting at a park on Sunday that killed one man and injured three other people, including two children under the age of 5.
Little Rock police said officers responded to 1900 E. 6th Street Sunday for a shooting.
According to a statement by the Little Rock Police Department, the officers found four people suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police say 22-year-old Devontay Allen, died from his wounds at a local hospital.
In the police report, the injured victims are listed as a 23-year-old man, a 3-year-old girl and a 4-year-old girl.
Little Rock police say the injured victims were taken to local hospitals and treated.
At this time, police have not released information on a suspect.
