Update: 2 suspects in Pine Bluff double shooting arrested

Update: 

PINE BLUFF, Ark.- Anthony Boykin, 24, has been taken into custody in connection to a double shooting that resulted in one death, according to Pine Bluff Police.

Boykin was wanted for Capital Murder of Antonio Martin and First Degree Battery. 

Update: 

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Wanda Whaley, 23, has been taken into custody and currently being held at the Dub Brassell Detention Center, according to Pine Bluff Police.

Whaley was wanted for Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution in connection with the homicide of Antonio Martin. Detectives are still looking for Anthony Boykin.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Police are searching for two suspects wanted in a shooting that killed a 33-year-old and injured one other Monday afternoon. 

Anthony Boykin, 24, is wanted for capital murder and first-degree battery. Wanda Whaley, 23, is wanted for hindering apprehension or prosecution. That’s all according to Pine Bluff Police. 

Detectives are still searching for the suspects.

Update: 

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Police have identified the homicide victim from a Monday shooting that left another injured. 

Around 4:20 p.m. Pine Bluff Police were called to the area of 24th Avenue and Cedar Street in regards to gunshots in the area. At the intersection of 25th Avenue and Spruce Street officer found a vehicle on 25th Avenue. 

Inside the vehicle, officers found Antonio Martin, 33, of Pine Bluff with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Ti’Ran Compton at 5:12 p.m.

A male passenger in the vehicle was also shot. The passenger was taken to a hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

It is still early in the investigation and more information may be released once it becomes available.

This is the 12th homicide for Pine Bluff.
