Trash pickup delay on Tyler Street now corrected

Local News

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Neighbors on South Tyler Street near 27th say their trash should have been collected on Thursday but wasn’t until Monday but more specifically an hour after Working 4 You started asking why.

Nothing like an 85-degree day and the smell of sitting street-side garbage.

“My concern, the trash hasn’t been picked up since Thursday,” says Don Fells.

Don Fells is not happy. He says he’s been getting the run-around from the City of Little Rock about the four-day delay in trash collection.

“I called 311 Friday, I called this morning and nothing has been resolved,” says Don Fells.

Don says the city needs to play by its own rules. He says he’s been cited in the past for not removing the trash can fast enough from the curb.

“My problem is if my trash can is sitting out here and they want to try and give a citation for the trash can sitting on the road.”

After reaching out to the mayor’s office for answers, problem solved.

“The biggest thing–I’m glad they picked up the trash,” says Don.
