Pit Bull's Injuries Possibly Linked to Dog Fighting

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A dog found covered in bite marks and cuts is recovering tonight.

On Sunday the  group "Last Chance Arkansas" received a call about multiple animals being dumped under the Big Dam Bridge on the North Little Rock side. The abandon animals quickly scooped up and taken to Chenal Valley Animal Animal Hospital.

"She was found Sunday with severe bite wounds all over her face chest and arms," said Doctor Kim Miller who currently has the dog at her clinic.

The dog has been on antibiotics in hopes of preventing infection in the dozens of cuts, scrapes, and bite marks that can be found on the young pit bull's body.

"There was probably another fight before. Most of these expect on her chest are fairly fresh"
Carrie Kessler and her group Last Chance Arkansas are giving the dog a second chance. She says this isn't the first time she has thought a dog they have found in the area has been involved in dog fighting.
"Her face was swollen and scarred. she had obviously been in a dog fight or several dog fights," said Kessler.

The group posted the dog's photo on its Facebook page with a call out in hopes someone will come forward with answers. They have also reported the incident to authorities.

After the dog recovers she will be up for fostering and eventually up for adoption.
