CONWAY, Ark. - Water For Christ is making a big impact both globally and locally in Arkansas.
Tim Tyler is the founder of Water for Christ. He's also a land surveyor, owns his own business, and is the Fire Chief of the Greenbrier Fire Department.
Tyler said he knew early on he wanted to give back and that's why he founded Water For Christ.
"We can't help everybody, but we can help those few," he says.
Over the years this organization has drilled water wells in Ghana and Haiti and has hopes of working in Romania. Recently, Water For Christ drilled a well for a home that houses human trafficking survivors.
"We want to help one at a time, as much as we can do," Tyler continues.
Tyler really believes it the power of reaching one, and tells this story: "There's a bunch of starfish. A guy is going along picking up all those starfish and he's throwing one or two in, and the other guy says, what are you doing, there's millions of them out here you can't help, and he picks up a starfish and he throws it back in the ocean and he said 'I helped that one,' and that's what we want to do is we want to help one at a time."
