Men Charged In Hitting Deer With Book Appear in Court

STUTTGART,Ark.—Three men who were charged in the hitting of a deer with a book appeared in Stuttgart District Court Thursday.

Twenty-year-old Joshua Rewis of Villa Rica, Georgia was charged with with a misdemeanor of Cruelty to Animals and Wasting Wildlife.

On both charges, Rewis was sentenced to a $2250 fine, 60 days in jail with 60 days suspended unless he has further charges within a year.

Rewis also has been ordered to have a psych evaluation within 90 days.

Cody Jones, 25, and Travis Strickland, 25, both of Georgia were both charged with Criminal Aiding and Abetting.
Both Jones and Strickland received a fine of $370.
